Constructed almost entirely of wood at a time when raw materials were in extremely short supply, the ‘wooden wonder’ was one of the fastest and most versatile aircraft of WWII.

Used in almost every role possible including fighter, medium and high altitude bombing, Pathfinder, night-fighter, anti-shipping and photo reconnaissance, in both the European and Pacific Theatres, it saw glory on some of the most iconic missions of WWII such as Operation Jericho, Berlin and the Normandy Invasion.
