A B-24 has been damaged and is losing touch with the main bomber formation as Luftwaffe pilots concentrate their attentions on the unfortunate aircraft. Two Fw190s, are closing in for the kill on the damaged B-24 but, seeing the desperate situation, a P-38 escort pilot makes a head-on attack, splitting the pair of Fw190s and ruining their attempt to finish off the stricken bomber whilst another P-38 also turns in to attack the German fighters.

The print is individually signed by the artist Robert Taylor and two P-38 fighter Aces and two top-scoring Fw190 fighter pilots who fought in the skies over Europe in World War II:

Colonel GERALD BROWN – 35th Fighter Group / 5 victories
Colonel JOHN LOWELL – 364th Fighter Group / 7½ victories
Captain ALFRED GRISLAWSKI – JG 1 / 133 victories
Captain GUNTHER SCHACK – JG 51 / 174 victories

This is a simply outstanding and seldom seen piece from Robert Taylor’s extensive portfolio and with such amazing original autographs which we’ll never see the like of it again. This is the perfect opportunity for aviation enthusiasts and autograph hunters alike to acquire a historic collector’s piece.
