“THE GREAT WAR” 28 July 1914 – 11 November 1918
The First World War, characterized by trench warfare chemical weapons and the first use of heavy armor and aircraft, was declared to be “the war to end all wars”.

It was a land, air and sea conflict so terrible that in just four years it changed the face of modern warfare.
