Description
As the sun rises over the Mediterranean early on the morning of 20 April, 1942, the American carrier USS Wasp launches Spitfires of 601 and 603 Squadrons towards Malta in a desperate and successful attempt to defend the beleaguered island. Their timely arrival turned the tide of the battle for Malta, and ultimately the war in the Mediterranean.
