With unwavering courage and patriotism, these brave American volunteers left their families behind to join the RAF and Commonwealth in the fight against Nazi Germany. Forming 71, 121, and 133 Squadrons in 1940, they flew flew Spitfires as part of the RAF and became known as the Eagle Squadrons. They earned a reputation for bravery and skill, before transferring to the USAAF in 1942, becoming the 4th Fighter Group. 

The Eagle Squadrons were a symbol of the great alliance between the United States and Great Britain and helped turn the tide of WWII.
