Since his shoolboy sketches of aircraft during the Second World War Michael Turner’s career has spanned over half a century, and he is widely recognized as one of the foremost aviation artist painting today. He has flown in many service aircraft from Tiger Moth, Spitfire and Lancaster to Harrier and Tornado, plus aerobatic sorties with the Red Arrows, to gain first hand impressions for his aviation paintings, and he regularly flies his own DeHavilland Chipmunk.
