Description

F6F Hellcats of VF-6 head out to hit Japanese shipping and ground installations on the Pacific atoll of Truk, February 1944. In the foreground is the Hellcat “White 19” flown by Lt Alex Vraciu, who would become one of the U.S Navy’s top guns.

Completed in a graphite and paint combination, this superbly detailed drawing by Richard Taylor is personally signed by the artist along with Nine highly respected WWII Corsair and Hellcat Pilots:
